POLLEN
Rs. 1 INR
Jeanie studies flowers for a living. And the one thing she’s learnt after spending 8 years dedicated to the botanical sciences is something rather unscientific entirely. It’s the correlation between
flower and human brain.
Jeanie spends a lot of her time on a park bench facing Henrietta’s flower shop. It is her observation that people are remarkably predictable in a flower shop. Lilies move between best friends. Orchids are purchased by men on first dates. Juliet roses are for husbands in the particular kind of trouble that requires roses.
When asked what she would go for at the flower shop, she quickly sets the record straight.
“I’m allergic to pollen”.
“Bee orchids could be my favourite. They’re so interesting - they mimic a female wasp so convincingly in look and scent that they attract male bees for pollination”. Jeanie calls this magic.
